Background Information :

In addition to advertising, we solicited bids for the purchase of milk coolers (specifications attached) for all school cafeterias.  Funds are available for this purchase within the Central Cafeteria Fund budget for the current fiscal year as previously approved by the Board. We received bids from four (4) companies, which are summarized on the bid request tally sheet. Individual bids were as follows:

Hotel & Restaurant Supply, Memphis – $21,630.00
Federal Equipment Dealers, Memphis – $22,586.00
Great Lakes Hotel Supply, Detroit, Michigan – $28,989.00
Jackson Restaurant Supply, Jackson – $24,474.00

Staff Recommendation:

I recommend approval of the low bid as submitted by Hotel & Restaurant Supply in the amount of $21,630.00.
